Payment:

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify will store your credit card data. This data is encrypted using the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete the purchase transaction. Once the transaction is completed, your purchase transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS, which are managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, a joint effort of brands such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure that our store and its service providers handle credit card information securely.

For these providers, we encourage you to read their privacy policies so that you can understand how they handle your personal information.

Please note in particular that some of these providers may be located in, or have facilities that differ from, either you or us. Therefore, if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which that service provider or its facilities are located.

For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, your personal information used to complete that transaction may be subject to disclosure under U.S. law, including the Patriot Act.
